Villain is the third mini album released by DRIPPIN on January 17, 2022, through Woollim Entertainment. It comes in two versions: A and B, and features a total of six new tracks, with "Villain" serving as the album's title track.

Background[]

On December 27, Woollim Entertainment released a teaser video for DRIPPIN's comeback, which was scheduled to be released on January 17.[1] On December 28, a new comeback teaser poster was revealed, unveiling the title of their upcoming third mini album, Villain.[2] On December 31, they released individual teaser clips for each member, starting with Junho.[3]

On January 4, the album's complete tracklist was unveiled. It includes an intro and five full-length tracks.[4] On January 7, they released a new set of teaser images in which the members thoroughly showcased their charisma.[5] On January 12, they released a music video teaser for "Villain," followed by a mini album preview on January 15.[6][7] On January 17, the music video for "Villain" was premiered. It received over 5 million views in just five days.[8][9] On January 28, the choreography version of the music video was released.[10]
