Villain : The End is the first full-length album released by DRIPPIN. The album was released on November 15, 2022 with ten tracks, including "The One" as the album's title track.

It was originally set to be released on November 1, 2022 but was postponed to November 15, 2022 out of respect for the victims in the Itaewon Halloween crowd crush incident on October 29.

지난 1월 3rd Mini Album [Villain]을 통해 본격적인 서사의 시작을 알린 DRIPPIN(드리핀)은 [Villain’z Era]라는 확장 세계관을 기반으로 빌런의 출현과 탄생, 멤버들이 지닌 컨트롤 에너지 등 다양한 설정들로 연계된 완성도 높은 스토리를 공개해 대중들의 높은 관심과 기대를 모았으며, 2nd Single Album [Villain : ZERO]에서 밝혀진 미싱링크 트라우마로 발현된 ‘X’와 ‘DX’의 분열 과정을 프리퀄 형식의 액자 구조로 배치해 넥스트 시퀄에 대한 궁금증을 증폭시켰다. 총 3부작으로 제작된 [Villain’z Era]는 마침내 공개된 DRIPPIN(드리핀)의 첫 정규앨범 [Villain : The End]를 마지막으로 최종장에서 펼쳐지는 결전과 이를 계기로 하나가 되는 소년들의 긴 여정을 마무리하게 되며, 모든 것이 끝을 맺는 ‘End’의 의미뿐만 아니라 모든 것이 마무리되어야만 새로운 시작을 할 수 있다는 이중적 의미의 해석 또한 내포해, 끝과 시작이라는 분기점에서 탄생된 새로운 결합을 ‘The One’이라는 키워드로 풀어내 완성도를 높였다.

타이틀곡 <The One>은 세계관 속 주인공 ‘X’와 ‘DX’의 최종 결전을 배경으로 완성된 스타일리시한 Rhythm과 Guitar Riff가 매력적인 DnB(드럼엔베이스) 장르의 곡으로 낮과 밤, 해와 달이라는 대척점 속 두 자아의 운명론적 Eclipse를 표현한 가사가 돋보이며, 하나임을 의미하는 ‘One’ 과 시작과 끝을 연결하는 도형적 ‘원’의 의미를 통해 최종장에서 펼쳐지는 서사의 마무리를 장식했다.

<The One>이 마침내 하나가 되는 주인공의 스토리를 담고 있다면, 타이틀을 제외한 총 9곡의 트랙들은 세계관 속 갈등과 유대, 깊이감 있는 내면의 이야기와 메시지를 전달한다. 인트로곡인 <I.N.O>는 시퀄의 메인 무대인 최종 결전을 맞이한 전장의 분위기를 엿볼 수 있으며, 고뇌하는 ‘X’의 내면 속 갈등과 어둠을 타개하고 싶은 간절함을 담아낸 <Silence>, ‘DX’와의 마지막 결전의 모습을 소년들의 시점에서 풀어낸 <MONSTER>, 희망의 불씨를 모아 서로가 서로에게 ‘HOME’이 되어준다는 메시지를 담고 있는 <HOME>, ‘꿈이 현실이 될 수 있다’는 희망을 노래한 <UTOPIA>, ‘X’의 또 다른 자아 ‘DX’의 어두운 내면을 숨김없이 표출하는 <DEJA VU>, 파편처럼 갈라진 악몽 같던 과거를 이겨내고 나아가는 <ESCAPE>, 존재 이유를 깨닫고 각성한 DRIPPIN(드리핀)의 투지를 담아낸 <Champion>까지 다양한 시점과 관계 속에 담긴 숨겨진 이야기뿐만 아니라 DREAMIN(드리밍)과 함께라면 어디든 함께 떠날 수 있을 것만 같은DRIPPIN(드리핀)의 가슴속 설렘을 표현한 팬송 <When I’m With You>를 마지막으로 총 10곡의 트랙을 통해 첫 정규 앨범에서 보여줄 수 있는 DRIPPIN(드리핀)만의 다채로운 매력과 음악적 성장을 담아냈다.

DRIPPIN (Lee Hyeop, Hwang Yoon-seong, Joo Chang-wook, Kim Dong-yoon, Kim Min-seo, Kim Min-seo, Cha Jun-ho, and Alex), who are showing endless growth in the interest of global fans, returned with their first full-length album [Villain: The End] with more intense music and performances.

DRIPPIN, which announced the beginning of a full-fledged narrative through the 3rd Mini Album [Villain] last January, is based on the expanded world view of [Villain'z Era], and various settings such as the emergence and birth of villains, the control energy of members, etc. The high-quality story linked to was released to the public, attracting high public interest and expectations, and the process of division between 'X' and 'DX' manifested by the missing link trauma revealed in the 2nd Single Album [Villain: ZERO] is framed in a prequel format. , amplifying curiosity about the next sequel.
